On the bright side, with modern medicine\u00a0<span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><a href=\"http:\/\/www.cdc.gov\/hiv\/basics\/livingwithhiv\/treatment.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">HIV medication<\/a><\/span>\u00a0can slow or prevent progression of the disease.
