About Us
AWPLI is a nonprofit 501(c)(3) organization dedicated to enhancing public health and well-being in underserved communities through comprehensive education, outreach, and empowerment programs. We provide a variety of wraparound and direct services including but not limited to tobacco control, life and social skills and healthy living training, assessments / surveillance, health screenings, non-conventional to include hypnosis, acupuncture, progressive relaxation, care coordination, coaching and group discussions.

To provide high quality education, linkage to care, and social services for all communities to build better futures. We empower all communities to thrive in an ever-changing world; through the development of self-advocating skills and the resources that ensure sustainability and improve health outcomes for all people.
AWPLI’s staff and Board of Directors are committed to improving access to affordable, quality health and social services through prevention, education, and community-based support. AWPLI strategically identifies and utilizes a socio-ecological and collective impact approach to its high quality, culturally competent, and linguistically appropriate services. As demonstrated in the graph to the right by activity, AWPLI’s operations are dynamic and multifaceted. Our staff is trained for the best results for outcomes including organizations such as CADCA National Coalition Academy, Healthy Families America, Rutgers-Tobacco Dependence Program’s CTTS Training, and the CDC’s REACH program.
