
Event Description
This telemedicine and telehealth course will explore telemedicine’s significant capabilities, treatment features, workflow, in addition to its challenges to adoption in healthcare. It will describe how telemedicine and telehealth services are delivered through various communications mechanisms including video conferencing and other virtual technologies.
Telemedicine can deliver fast and advantageous healthcare as it streamlines outpatient and even inpatient workflows in hospitals and clinics respectively. Telemedicine has the capability to save both patient’s and the health care providers time and cost in the delivery and receipt of treatment.
This course will also discuss how when performed effectively, telemedicine technology can facilitate the efficiency, effectiveness and ease monitoring of discharged patients and manage recovery. In addition, the course will identify the significant applications of telemedicine in healthcare.
