HAPPY means HIV Awareness Promoting Prevention for You, our service goal is to prevent HIV infection and prevent the transmission of HIV among high risk individuals who are HIV-negative. HAPPY seeks to increase access to care and treatment; while reducing HIV related health disparities and health inequities.
HAPPY is a service to prevent and reduce the impact of HIV stigma and discrimination. Our programs provide: Psychosocial support for PLWH are to increase and enhance support and coaching services; and Early Intervention Services (EIS). HAPPY is funded by Prince Georges County Health Department to provide Psychosocial support services and DC Department of Health HIV/AIDS, Hepatitis, STD, and TB Administration (HAHSTA) to provide Ryan White EIS to ensure people know their HIV status – by getting tested!
HAPPY service started July 1, 2016. It is a service of Access to Wholistic and Productive Living, Inc. at Port Town Health and Wellness Center located at 3611 43rd Ave., Brentwood, Maryland 20722.

We aim to prevent the incidence of HIV infection through health education, screening, and contact notification. HAPPY offers one-on-one and group sessions that are resourceful, uplifting, and provide a listening ear.
